Date: 14 August 2021
Place: Hungary
Organizer: WKO Hungary (Branch Chiefs Jozsef Kaloczi and Ferenc Kovacs)

On August 14, the Kaloczi and Kovacs Branches held their 2021 Dan exam.
The Dan exam began with a commemoration. All the Karatekas present honored Shihan Furko Kalman, the founder of the Hungarian Kyokushin karate, with a silent prayer.
Candidates could feel the deceased master’s watchful gaze, and it gave them even more determination.
Twenty-one Karatekas started the exam, and after the hours-long technical exam, 18 were able to stand up for the exam fights. Eventually, 17 people obtained their new belt rank based on the decision of the Branch Chiefs, including many from the 40-50 age group.
Mr. Hasebe Toshiaki, the social president of the Hungarian Karate organization, also attended the exam. We sincerely hope that Shihan Furko was also pleased with the performance of the candidates in heaven.

Rest in peace Shihan Furko Kalman.
Osu!
