Place: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
Organizer: WKO Bangladesh (Branch Chief: Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain)

Number of Participants: 48 (including over 42 active participants, guests, and support staff)

The WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh Summer Camp 2026 was successfully held at Neelima Resort in Cox’s Bazar from July 10 to 12, 2026, organized by KO Fight. Marking the fifth annual national camp under the banner of WKO Bangladesh, this edition brought together active members, senior instructors, and students across all belt levels from both dojos.

The primary objective of the camp was to deliver world-class, international-standard training to develop participants’ physical stamina, mental fortitude, and technical mastery. The camp structure encompassed 8 intensive sessions spanning 7 to 8 hours of rigorous daily training. Instruction focused heavily on the four core pillars of Shinkyokushin: Kihon (basics), Ido (movement), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring), alongside detailed technical breakdowns, high-repetition stance drills, and impact conditioning.

Participants faced challenging weather conditions with heavy monsoon rain and turbulent sea swells. The camp made dynamic use of two distinct outdoor environments—deep beach sand and crashing ocean waves—which provided a unique physical challenge to build balance, leg strength, and stamina. During periods of torrential downpours, training seamlessly shifted to the resort’s indoor hall for technical kata refinement and structural body-conditioning drills.

Reflecting WKO Bangladesh’s commitment to inclusivity, the camp saw active participation across age groups and female karateka. The organization placed a strong emphasis on encouraging women to engage in full-contact martial arts for physical fitness, self-defense, and mental empowerment. Additionally, the high-intensity conditioning served as crucial preparation for candidates heading into the August Kyu Grading, candidates preparing for the December Dan Grading, and national team fighters preparing for upcoming international competitions, including the All-Asia Championship in November.

Under the guiding principle of Osu, students from white belt to black belt pushed past physical fatigue together. The camp concluded with a traditional Sayonara Dinner featuring a whole mutton BBQ and an informal cultural talent showcase where members performed music and songs, reinforcing dojo camaraderie. Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain closed the event with an inspiring address on discipline, perseverance, and maintaining the Kyokushin spirit in all aspects of life. The successful execution of the 2026 Summer Camp demonstrated the rising technical standard, organizational strength, and unwavering perseverance of WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh.
