WKO Afghanistan successfully organized two important one-day seminars on 13 and 14 August 2026 in Parwan Province, Afghanistan, as part of its preparations for the 6th National Shinkyokushinkai Karate Championship. The programs included a national training and technical seminar for instructors, coaches, and senior students, followed by a referee seminar aimed at improving the quality and consistency of officiating.

The first seminar, held on 13 August, brought together instructors, coaches, and senior students from different provinces. It focused not only on technical training, but also on strengthening unity, brotherhood, mutual respect, exchange of experience, and positive thinking among members of Shinkyokushinkai Karate in Afghanistan.

During the seminar, practical and theoretical guidance was provided on Shinkyokushinkai techniques and training methods, as well as instructor-student relations, dojo discipline, strong determination, fighting spirit, sportsmanship, mutual respect, and the fundamental values of Shinkyokushinkai Karate.

In preparation for the successful and well-organized implementation of the 6th National Championship, important guidance and discussions were also shared with instructors, coaches, and team officials regarding athletes’ preparation, discipline, sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and competition rules.

On 14 August, a one-day referee training seminar was conducted at the same venue for referees and experienced instructors from various provinces. The seminar reviewed key topics including competition rules, referee responsibilities, judging principles, scoring, penalties, referee signals, and athlete safety through both theoretical and practical sessions. Its main objectives were to strengthen the professional skills of referees, ensure consistent application of competition rules, and prepare officials for fair, safe, and well-organized officiating during the championship.

Both seminars were conducted under the leadership and guidance of Sensei Zainullabedin Muhammadi, President of WKO Afghanistan, and reflected the organization’s commitment to developing skilled instructors, responsible referees, disciplined athletes, and a strong culture of respect and sportsmanship throughout the country.

Key Positive Messages and Objectives of the Seminars:

– Unity is our strength: All instructors and athletes of Shinkyokushinkai Karate in Afghanistan are members of one family.
– Respect is our culture: Success is measured not only by medals, but also by character, discipline, and good conduct.
– Competition should be a means of development, not a cause of division: Every athlete should respect their opponent.
– An instructor shapes the next generation: Therefore, an instructor’s character, behavior, and attitude have a direct influence on students.
– Defeat is not the end: It is an opportunity to learn, train harder, and become stronger.
– Our goal is not only to create champions, but also to develop disciplined, respectful, determined, ethical, and socially responsible young people.
– Strengthening brotherhood, cooperation, and mutual support among members from different provinces.
– Promoting positive thinking, healthy training, and a strong culture of sportsmanship within Shinkyokushinkai Karate.

At the conclusion of the programs, participants shared their experiences and ideas and emphasized their commitment to continued cooperation, further development of Shinkyokushinkai Karate, the improvement of refereeing standards, and the proper training and development of the next generation.

We come together not only to compete, but also to promote unity, respect, brotherhood, good character, and progress.

WKO Shinkyokushinkai Afghanistan sincerely appreciates all instructors, coaches, senior students, referees, and athletes for their participation, cooperation, and commitment. The branch also expresses its sincere gratitude for the continued support and guidance of WKO Honbu and WKO Asia, and remains committed to further developing Shinkyokushinkai Karate in Afghanistan in accordance with the organization’s principles and standards.

Together, we will work together, respect one another, and remain united for the bright future and continued development of Shinkyokushinkai Karate in Afghanistan.
