The first All Sri Lanka Shinkyokushinkai Karate Open Championship was successfully held on 7th February 2026 at Anuradhapura Indoor Stadium.
The championship was organized by Rajarata Dojo and gathered 160 participants in 13 age-based categories for children and 3 weight-based categories for adults with separate divisions for male and female competitors in each category.
In Kata category, competitors demonstrated a high level of technical excellence and discipline while the Kumite showcased the true Budo spirit of full-contact karate. A Tameshiwari (breaking) demonstration added great excitement and color to the event highlighting the strength, focus and power developed through Shinkyokushinkai Karate training.
This championship marked a historic milestone as the first-ever tournament organized by Shinkyokushinkai Sri Lanka to be Opened to All Kyokushin Karate Organizations in the country.
Sixteen different organizations participated in the event, all of whom highly appreciated the efforts of WKO Shinkyokushinkai Sri Lanka Rajarata Dojo in uniting full -contact karate organizations on one platform.
