The biggest tournament of the year, the Slovakian Open was held in Dunajská Streda. 330 competitors from 33 clubs in 5 countries (Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia). 55 competitors were from the WKO Slovakia Branch (Seishin Karate Klub).

The tournament was opened by Attila Karafa, Mayor of Dunajská Streda. He greeted the competitors and parents, and expressed his gratitude for the tournament being held in Dunajská Streda. Organizator also greeted
– Tímea Takács, leader of Department of cultural, youth and sports affairs
– contestants Kristína Hupian (adult), Ádám Markovics, Adrienn Jakab (U-18), Zoltán Cserepes (U-21), Márk Kurcsík and Attila Pulay (U16), who will represent the club and the country in July in the Czech Republic

After this, János Markovics (leader of the Slovakian Shinkyokushin Organization) expressed his gratitude to the city administration of Dunajská Streda, Trnava county, sponsors and to the parents for the support of the tournament. He highlighted that this is an important event in the life of the club, as they focus on youth education. Age group of the tournament was from age 6 to adult. Fights took place on 5 tatamis. The national team performed excellently, Ádám Markovics, Adrienn Jakab and Zoltán Cserepes finished in first place. In his first adult tournament, Zoltán introduced with a beautiful head K.O. (Ippon), and Ádám also finished with a K.O. (Ippon) as a junior on his first adult tournament. Kids fought very passionately.

9 contestants of the Seishin Karate Klub finished in first place.

Slovakian Open results
