Date: 27th June, 2022
Place: Kłodawa Salt Mine, Poland
Organizer: Poland Branch (Branch Chief Dariusz Jasiakiewicz)

The beginning of the holiday for the Karatekas of the Sports and Martial Arts Club in Turek is a traditional farewell to a season full of successes and new experiences.
On June 27, 2022, the students and the coaching staff moved the last training before the two-month break from school from the mat to the salt mine in Kłodawa 600 meters underground.

The largest active rock salt mine in the country and Europe, with over 70 years of tradition, hosted the Shinkyokushinkai Karate Sports and Martial Arts Club on 27th June.
More than 55 members of the club went to the world’s deepest underground tourist route at over 600 meters, where, with the help of guides, for 2.5 hours they explored the history of the mine, learned about the hardships of mining work, and followed the excursion trail that runs through the deposits of unique pink salt, mined only in Kłodawa and Pakistan.

The main point of the trip to the Kłodawa mine was a joint training in the mine’s concert hall, where, for the first time in the history of the Sports and Martial Arts Club in Turek, its members could feel the unique atmosphere of exerting effort up to 600 meters underground.
The training was conducted by Branch Chief Shihan Dariusz Jasiakiewicz 5th dan.
