From March 27 to 29, 2026, the Poland Seminar with Sensei Junki Ochi was held in the Masovian Voivodeship, Poland, bringing together 163 adult and youth participants from the Tomasz Basiak Branch for three days of cultural exchange and intensive training. We had the great honor of welcoming Sensei Junki Ochi from Okinawa Dojo as the guest instructor for this special event.
The seminar opened with a lively Japanese Culture Festival at Bohaterów Warszawy Elementary School in Podkowa Leśna. This welcoming program introduced participants and visitors to the richness of Japanese culture and created an inspiring atmosphere for the karate training that followed.
The main workshops then took place at the Sports and Entertainment Hall CAiLS in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, where participants practiced under the guidance of a true master. Training sessions focused on Kihon, Ido, Kata, and Kumite, giving everyone the opportunity to deepen their understanding of technique, movement, and spirit.
Throughout the event, Sensei Ochi’s precise instruction and powerful demonstrations left a strong impression on all who attended. The seminar concluded with two impressive demonstrations by our guest, providing a memorable finale to an exceptional weekend of learning, discipline, and friendship.
The event was held in partnership with the local government of the Masovian Voivodeship.
