WKO Shinkyokushinkai New Zealand, held its annual Shokyu Shinsa (kyu grade promotion test) on Saturday 11 December 2021, in Napier, New Zealand. It is the start of summer in New Zealand, temperature conditions were a hot and humid 32° C (90° F)! The four-hour examination tested 80 members from beginner to 1st Kyu. The Shinsa included a run, Kihon, Kata, Kumite and Tameshiwari. All students performed well and to the best of their abilities.
