Shinkyokushinkai x HANEDA INNOVATION CITY

The World Karate Seminar (17-19 October) , the related event to the 13th World Karate Championship, will be held at the large capacity multipurpose facility “ HANEDA INNOVATION CITY” ( abbr .HICity).
The HICity is scheduled to have its grand opening this November. It is a smart airport city, whose purpose is to stimulate the exchange between cutting-edge technology and traditional culture to create new value.
At this new business and innovation creation center, more than 320 Karate practitionners from 45 different countries around the world will get together to participate in the various programs such as the technical seminar for the higher ranking black belt members, special grading exam and worldwide online training. The events will be visited by the Embassy Officials of the participants’ countries as well. The event will surely add excitement to the pre-opening campaign of HICity.
Shinkyokushinkai organizes this large-scale international project in collaboration with KAJIMA CORPORATION, Gurunavi Inc, Congrès Inc, and KEIKYU EX INN. The HICity was the last candidate venue for the 1st World Fullcontact Karate Championship, which was supposed to be held in 2021 during the Corona pandemic but canceled due to the schedule conflict with the 2020 Olympics.
After that, the original venue of the seminar, the FUJI VILLAGE in Yamanashi prefecture became unavailable, then the idea of transferring the event to the HICity came to realize.
This seminar is fully supported by the collaborators including KAJIMA CORPORATION, and the HICity will be filled to the capacity by Karate practitioners from all over the world during the event.
It is worth mentioning that Ota Ward is kindly backing up our seminar. In that relation, we will simultaneously organize the Open Karate Class for the Ota Ward citizen on October 18th, as an international exchange program. Shihan Kenta Naito, Ota Minami Branch Chief, will lead the program. As the coordination with Ota Ward was supported by Tokyo Jonan Kawasaki Branch, the Adviser Minoru Yokoyama and an acting Shihan Takumu Iriki accompanied us to the Progress Briefings to Ota Ward.
