In connection with the opening of two new Shinkyokushinkai Dojo’s in Oslo and on the outskirts of Oslo (Skjetten), WKO Norway organized a Kata seminar with guest instructors, An and Luigi Polimeno from Switzerland.
The seminar had some main goals: Promote and highlight full contact Karate in Norway, Oslo. Increase knowledge about Kata in Norway. Hold activities that create relationships with other nations and Karateka’s.
The level of An and Luigi Polimeno is well known and documented through results at the highest level. In addition, in recent years they have built a new generation of top Kata practitioners. On Friday, the training aimed to the instructors. Here, they received a lot of input to make training more efficient. An and Luigi generously shared their extensive expertise. They demonstrated technical exercises, physical routines, mental exercises, and techniques for maintaining a strong focus.
Saturday’s training provided participants with a comprehensive program on the Karate skills of Swiss profiles. Thanks to effective pedagogical communication, An and Luigi safely guided them through the three sessions, significantly enhancing their understanding.
Branch Chief Ole T. Grejs, Country representative President Svein Olaf Bennæs, participated in the trainings throughout the weekend, supporting the event and gave information of further progress of work.
An and Luigi Polimeno from Tomodachi Dojo in Switzerland, which means “friends” in Japanese, exemplified friendship through Karate in Norway this weekend.
