The Slovakia Memorial Tournament 2019 was organized by Seishin Karate Klub, for the first time in Zlatná na Ostrove. The tournament was held in memory of Sosai Oyama, founder of Kyokushin Karate, who passed away 25 years ago. His dream was a world organization. This organization now acts in close to 100 countries with more than 100,000 members. Nearly 200 contestants applied for the tournament from 24 clubs in 2 countries (Hungary, Slovakia).

The opening ceremony was held during the lunch break, when János Markovics, President of the Slovakian Shinkyokushin Karate Organization, expressed his gratitude for everyone who supported the tournament. He was especially thankful to the council of Zlatná na Ostrove, János Kurcsík and his wife Ivett, Székelyhidy András and his wife Ildikó. He greeted the national team: Kristína Hupian, Ádám Markovics, Adrienn Jakab, Márk Kurcsík, Attila Pulay and Zoltán Cserepes, who will represent the club and the country at the European Championship in Prague in June.

Of the 52 categories, the Seishin Karate Klub collected 11 first places, 12 second places and 22 third places.

First places (Seishin Karate Klub):

Patrik laczkó, Ján Rakus, Márk Kurcsík, Dorina Lišková, Erik Szenci, Ákos Oláh, Abigél Fekete, Beatrix Bödők, Márk Mihály Garay, Fábián Tóth, Zsófia Bock, Márk Pataki.

The sportsman of the year award went to Márk Kurcsík, who performed excellently in 2018, and consistently participates in the trainings.
