The 1-year postponement of the 7WC in Weight Categories, originally scheduled for June 2021 in Poland, has been officially decided. The new date will be set between April and June of 2022. There is no change in the host country. This postponement is related to the leading role played by WKO in WFKO, and the postponement of the 1st WFKO World Championship (originally scheduled for May 2020) due to the coronavirus problem that has spread across the world.
In the consideration process of the new date for postponement, WKO Poland took the initiative and proposed the 1-year postponement of the 7WC in Weight Categories, and this bold decision enabled the postponement of the 1st WFKO World Championship to 2021. WKO presented a big step of compromise and cooperation for the best interest of WFKO. The kindness and support from WKO Poland (Country Representative & WFKO Board Member: Shihan Remigiusz Karpinski) in relation to this postponement is greatly appreciated.
