On March 6-8, the European Black Belt Seminar and Referee Course was held in Poland. The seminar and course was organized by the EKO and PFKS (Polsih Karate Federation Shinkyokushinkai).
The seminar program was prepared by the EKO Technical Committee Chairman Jan Bulow from Denmark. The referee course was conducted by Shihan Michael Soderkvist from Sweden.
There were theoretical sessions where a lot of time was devoted to Kata, especially the technique, strength, and speed, and improving the execution of them, and preparation for competitions led by Shihan Brian Fitkin and Shihan Howard Collins. A very interesting lecture was led by Shihan Michael Soderkvist, about the history of Kyokushin and exams for grades.
On the second day, a course was held to standardize and improve the knowledge and skills of the referees.
200 people from 14 countries came to the center of Japanese Martial Arts, Dojo Stara Wies: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
The participants enjoyed the great atmosphere during the series of events, including the Sayonara Party.
