International Full Contact Karate Tournament “GEORGIAN OPEN-CAUCASUS CUP 2014”
-Adults, Kumite Men -70kg/-80kg/+80kg (open) and Women (open) Weight Categories-

Was conducted on the 28-the September 2014, in Tbilisi, Georgia, venue: “Arena” Sport Hall.
Provided by the financial support of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia.
Organized by the Georgian Full Contact Karate National Federation with the powerful assistance of the Georgian National Olympic Committee.

Participants (95): Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Israel – WKO Branches and Georgia – all Full Contact and Kyokushinkai Karate Groups (Shinkyokushinkai, Kyokushinkan, Seibukai, all Kyokushin Clubs` Union; Ashihara, IFK). WKO International Rules.

Head Referee: Shihan Avtandil Shengelia – Branch Chief, Country Representative (WKO) and President of Georgian Full Contact Karate National Federation.

Apart of the tournament the International Training Seminars and Referees Courses were also conducted by the invited special guest, the Chairman of the EKO Referee Committee, Shihan Alexander Goncharenko (Ukraine).

The Branch Chiefs: George Kosmidis, Otario Melikiadis (Greece); Allahverdi Rustamov (Azerbaijan); Armen Kspoyan (Armenia) attended the tournament.
Shihan George Kosmidis was the main referee – “Shushin on Tatami” and he greatly supported us in the organizing of the process of judging during the Tournament.

After the tournament finished, the Chairman of the EKO Referee Committee, Shihan Alexander Goncharenko (Ukraine) visited and inspected sport infrastructure, Tbilisi Sport Palace, where the European Championship is to be conducted on the 20th & 21st May, 2016.
